Case Closed Gadgets

Dr. Agasa has invented many gadgets for Shinichi to use after being trapped in the body of a child. These inventions help Conan capture criminals and unravel the mysteries he comes across. They can be used in combination to knock-out Kogoro and mimic his voice to solve crimes.

Stun-Gun Wristwatch

A switch on the right side flips up a targeting screen that covers the face of the watch. This is then used to pinpoint where you want the needle concealed in a launcher at the base of the watch to hit. Once the target is hit by the needle, they are succumbed to a rapid state of unconsciousness for an indeterminate time. Some characters have escaped the effects of the needle by injuring themselves to get their blood flowing. These include Gin and Vermouth. Inspector Zenigata of the Lupin the Third series was proven immune to the effects of the needle from being knocked unconscious so much from Lupin. This was later updated with a flashlight capability similar to the light-equipped watches the other members of the Detective Boys have.

Voice-Changing Bow-Tie

This gadget looks like an innocuous red bow-tie from the front. On the back is where all the technology lies. There are 2 dials, 1 in each bow, for adjusting the volume and tone of the voice you are trying to emulate. The mic is located in the center of the bow-tie while the speakers are located in the front facing outward. This gadget is later upgraded with a wireless transceiver so Conan can be further away from the person whose voice he is emulating.

Criminal Locater Glasses

These may look like ordinary glasses but they are more than meets the eye. They have many many uses. On the left side, the lens contains a small Liquid Crystal screen. This is used along with an antenna on the frame that extends with a switch to locate criminals using a button sized tracking device. Conan wears these trackers as buttons on his jacket and sticks them to objects he needs to follow. On the right of the glasses, at the end of the frame, is a small detachable transmitter. This can be left nearby and used to listen in on conversations. The sound is transmitted through the glasses so that only the wearer can hear the transmitter. These were also recently upgraded to include a Night-Vision and Binocular mode. The wearer can zoom in where they are focused as well as turn on night vision through switches located on the surrounding frame of the glasses.

Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes

These shoes stimulate muscles in the wearer's feet and enhance the user's ability to kick an object with extreme force and detailed accuracy. The power of each kick can be adjusted via a dial on the side of the shoe. With the shoes in use, you can easily kick an object over long distances that normally could not go as far or even be able to be kicked. Conan uses this gadget to shoot anything that is handy at a criminal to bring them down. More recently, he uses this in conjunction with his Soccer Ball Belt as a 1-2 punch kind of combination.

Turbo-Engine Skateboard

It may look like an ordinary skateboard but it is made up of 6 main components that make it perfect for chasing down criminals. On the top of the board is an accelerator switch to use the engine in the board. Almost all of the rest of the top is made of solar panels to absorb sunlight to recharge the battery when not in use. A suspension system is in place so that the board can self-stabalize itself to prevent accidents whether there is just one person on the board or more. The battery and the engine are located towards the middle back of the board. At the rear is a cooling fan to prevent the engine from overheating.

A rarely used gadget of Conan's. He wears these nearly at all times with his signature outfit.

Detective Boys Badge

These badges were made for each member of the Detective Boys. They act as walkie talkies to each other and also have a tracking chip inside so that Conan can locate his friends if necessary through his glasses. Each badge contains a speaker and microphone as well as an antenna to boost the signal.
